Flaming Core

Flaming Core is an arcade-style game that submerges you into a virtual reality where everything around you is out to destroy you. The video game's aesthetics are clearly inspired by legendary films like Tron. You'll feel like you're at a neon festival, with shots and explosions during all of its 160 levels.

Your mission is to control a ball that's powerful enough to defeat enemies simply by bouncing on them. Flaming Core is perfectly adapted to touchscreens and all you have to do is tap on the screen to choose the direction in which you want to shoot. Every time you do that, you activate the bullet time to slow down the situation and give yourself time to think about where to go next.

If you tap on the screen, you can slide your finger to calculate the route using a trajectory line. As soon as you let go, the ball travels in that direction and you can only change its course by tapping on the screen again and setting another direction. Time is of the essence in Flaming Core since tapping on the screen at the right moment makes the difference between completing the level or having to repeat it. Keep an eye out for enemy bullets, spikes and other obstacles that could finish you off.

In order to complete each level, you have to destroy all your enemies. Plus, after a few settings, you'll have to control some sort of robot that works a little bit differently. By tapping and dragging on the screen, you can choose the direction. Keep in mind that the robot doesn't bounce, but it automatically shoots your enemies when they're within range. The main levels of the game are divided into different settings, and there are also three different modes that'll test your skills.

Flaming Core is a fantastic arcade-style game that has eye-catching visuals and a great soundtrack that doesn't get annoying after a while. This isn't a game that makes things easy for you, but it keeps you glued to your screen until you master all of its exciting levels.
